Magnetic Products, Inc. (MPI), is excited to announce its new line of Hi-G Drawer Magnet Units (DMUs)! The Hi-G is a line of specially selected products that have been enhanced to provide:
Hi-Gauss- Superior magnet material with superior design in magnet circuitry
Hi-Grab- Powerful reach-out to grab tramp metal out of any product flow
Hi-Gravity- Superior attraction to hold onto tramp metals
Hi-Guard- Protection for process equipment to keep lines running optimally
MPI’s DMU Hi-G self-cleaning drawer magnets are ideally suited to capture small ferrous contaminants, such as wire, metal shavings and metal wear. These drawer magnets have a variety of applications and function exceptionally well in removing tramp metal from dry powder or granular free-flowing product streams in gravity-fed vertical chutes.
Several Hi-G improvements have been made to the DMU line from advanced computer modelled magnetic tube circuitry, to the reinforced loop style grounding strap to eliminate accidental disconnect from the unit. The DMU Hi-G features staggered rows of 50 MGO magnetic tubes to prevent bridging or choking of the product stream. This also maximizes magnetic filtration as the product flows through the housing. The DMU Hi-G line also features enhanced tube stripper seals for easy and thorough tramp metal removal and cleaning from magnet material.
The DMU Hi-G also benefits from a unique captured FDA approved gasket, designed to prevent product escaping from the flow. The captured design means that the gasket will not become damaged during normal operation, increasing the life span and ensuring the gasket does not, in itself, become a source of contamination.
MPI’s DMU Hi-G line comes in quick-clean and self-cleaning models. Self-cleaning models are pneumatically operated. There are several standard options and a variety of customizable features to build the perfect DMU Hi-G for any application. For more information on the DMU Hi-G visit www.mpimagnet.com.
