PK’s Zig-Zag® Continuous Blender offers the blending accuracy of the Twin-Shell®, but on a continuous basis. The Zig-Zag combines the action of a rotating, eccentric drum with multiple recycling to produce uniform blends of liquid-solids, solid-solids materials and slurries. As the blender revolves, the blended material leaves the drum and enters the legs, where recycling begins. At each half turn, part of the material moves forward, part of it backward within the legs. Splitting, merging and tumbling of the material brings particles into contact with each other to complete the blending. PK’s Zig-Zag Blender is available in two models for liquid-solids blending or solid-solids blending applications.
